  • Dealing with COVID-19

  • Dragon Dining response to the COVID-19 outbreak?

Dragon Dining is actively following the latest government guidance, and working closely with its staff, customers, suppliers and partners - including Yokohama International School and The Kanagawa Prefectural Government - to respond to the situation.

Dragon Dining has been working throughout the crisis with our links into the wholesale food market to ensure that there is access to food supplies for the school.

Dragon Dining is working to ensure that provision is in place that meets the needs of the school and ensure that pupils safely receive a nutritious meal.

How is Dragon Dining managing its staff during this time?

Dragon Dining staff have been working throughout the lockdown, as well as through traditional school holidays in order to ensure that local families continue to be cared for with our Grab & Gp meal service.

Our kitchen has been risk assessed and some measures have been taken to ensure a safe working and dining environment.

Where possible we have been working remotely, in line with government guidelines.

    Dragon Dining Suppliers & Communications

Dragon Dining’s suppliers currently have no concerns around food supply. It is possible, due to the reduced number of pupils on site, that existing food supplies ordered in may mean elements of the menu are varied or repeated in order to prevent food wastage. It is also possible that, given changing numbers of pupils on site each day, our cooks may be required to deviate from standard published menus, although we will continue to provide for special diets and allergies etc.

Dragon Dining will seek to keep its customers regularly updated on our response to the current situation, both via email, as well as updating notices published on our website.
